INDIA DESIGN FORUM 2012

A pioneering initiative that began in 2012, the India Design Forum (IDF) was launched with the objective of spotlighting the movements in the sphere of Indian design. Conceived by the Coimbatore Centre for Contemporary Arts (CoCCA), IDF 2012 focused on the evolution of design in India, its position in the context of global trends and its engagement with the international design world.
INDIA DESIGN FORUM 2013

Mumbai, India

India Design Forum and Design Week 2013 was centred on the theme ‘Design Matters’, highlighting the significance of design as an intrinsic part of everyday life. Key speakers included Thomas Heatherwick, Asif Khan, Dror Benshetrit, Oscar Zieta, Anouska Hempel, Renny Raymakers, Nipa Doshi, Subodh Gupta and Rahul Mehrotra. The Forum was attended by over 1,300 delegates, the Design Week attracted over 10,000 visitors from India and abroad.
INDIA DESIGN FORUM 2016

India Design Forum 2016 explored the theme ‘Empowering through Design’, by challenging established thinking and highlighting the opportunities available in the design sector in India, in the context of key global issues. IDF 2016 was an ancillary event of the Make in India Week, which sought to showcase the potential of design, innovation, and sustainability across India’s manufacturing sectors.
INDIA DESIGN FORUM 2018

Bengaluru, India

India Design Forum 2018 took the theme Disruptive Design, exploring the impact and implications of today’s most disruptive design interventions. Key speakers included Sanjay Garg, Max Modesti, Bandeep Singh, and Shiva Nallaperumal, as well as leading representatives from X: The Moonshot Factory, Eight Inc, and Accenture Labs Asia. The forum was a part of the festival Bengaluru ByDesign.
